"De CD opent met 'Inner-city Light', zelden klonk een klassieke gitaar
zo funky. Een vleug van Cubaanse luchtigheid en 'Buena Vista Social Club' waait
met de titel 'El Paso de la Cigarra' uit de boxen door de huislijke woonkamer.
Klankschilderingen zoals de driedelige 'Good Morning Suite', gevoelige balladen
zoals 'Heartbeat' en stukken met drijvende grooves en swingende basloopjes -bijzonder
indrukwekkend is het stuk 'Easy Way Out', waarin hij het op een indrukwekkende
manier voor elkaar krijgt een contrabas te imiteren - laat de buitengewone veelzijdigheid
van de jonge gitarist zien. Een veelzijdigheid, die gelukkig niet vervalt in
willekeur en het gehele album zeer homogeen naar voren komt."
